SDSL services are offered in a variety of speed increments from 2.3mbps, 5.7mbps and 11.4mbps. Through the use of a synchronous connection, services such as voice and video conferencing are quickly made very sustainable without adversely affecting other users sharing the connection. In many cases, users are able to capitalize on the larger upstream bandwidth available and utilize this for hosting servers and/or services in house, helping them avoid other costly off-site storage and hosting alternatives.
