Daily, ACI's voice network routes hundreds of thousands of voice calls to destinations worldwide. Build on the Broadsoft voice platform, ACI's voice network utilizes award winning Sun Microsystems enterprise grade server clusters for maximum reliability and performance. Redundant switching, session border controllers, call agent servers ensure even during a failure, your call continues.
Further to it's redundant core switching, edges and call agent appliances, Accelerated Connections utilizes multiple gateways into the PSTN Cloud (Public Service Telephone Network). This ensures that should a link fail, your calls can still be completed without worry or downtime. In many aspects, failover is immediate and automatic between network devices and happens behind the scenes, ensuring no service disruption.
Complimenting the redundant architecture of the voice network appliances, ACI's backend voice servers utilize enterprise grade Sun Microsystems architecture and devices with multiple paths both in and outbound. In cases where full server redundancy is not available due to application type, services are strategically placed on independant servers to ensure minimal disruption should an error occur. This type of independant architechure helps segregate portions of the network so they may run independant of each other and remain operating despite a failure in other aspect of the voice network.
